Uganda
July
26th -August 7th
What a trip! We traveled a
couple thousand miles by plane, a couple hundred by car and who knows how many
be foot to help meet the physical and spiritual needs in Uganda. It was a powerful
trip that involved 13 team members who actually went and dozens lending their
hands in support.
Dr. Craig and the surgical team performed 20 surgeries ranging from hysterectomies
to hernia repairs. His team worked tirelessly into the evenings on most days to
help those who were hurting.
Dr. Tom Allen and Dr. Neil Slatter traveled from church to church diagnosing and
prescribing all kinds of meds to help ease the pain and suffering of many children.
They literally saw hundreds of patients a day.
Pastor
Bob, Donavan Johnson and Bonnie Parker traveled to the clinics and schools to
make crafts, play games, and more all with the goal of sharing the Gospel.
Hope Casmer spent
5 days painting beautiful murals throughout the surgical wing of the hospital.
The walls came to life with greenery, animals and so much more.
All
in all, nobody was sidelined with illness, we didn’t experience one car
accident (although opportunities were abundant) and we accomplished what we believed
God had called us to do. Thank you for your prayers, financial support and so
much more.
