Children from birth to 6th grade will find OBC a wonderful place to learn about Jesus. Each Sunday morning beginning at 9:30, kids sing fun songs and hear wonderful Bible stories from some of Odessa’s best Bible teachers. Mom and dad can enjoy their LifeLine Groups knowing that their children are safe and learning that God loves them and wants them to spend an eternity in Heaven.

The structure is rather simple and layed out below. Because parents are the best ones to know when a child is ready to promote, we leave that decision up to them. The age structure is just a guide line.

 

  • Birth - 3-4 yrs - Nursery / Toddler Room
  • 3- 4yrs-6th Grade - Awana (3yrs-6th) / G-Force (4yrs-5th)
  • 6th - 12th - Youth Ministries

 

 

TheTreeHouseClub
Sunday Mornings @ 9:30

TheTreeHouseClub is a fun-filled, theme-driven program that's taking childrens ministry to the next level. Incorporating puppets, fun music and great teachers, your children will learn virtues that will help shape their lives. Each lesson is anchored in scripture and taught in a creative and engaging way.

The curriculum we are using is called 252 Basics and can be viewed on line. On their site, you can view upcoming lessons, see the big picture
and understand how each lesson will
help your child understand more about
God.

The gang of TheTreeHouseClub is made up of several puppets who encounter a problem that ties into the lesson for the morning. Funny, animated and honoring, these characters will help your kids learn that going to Church is fun!

Children's Church
During the worship service, we encourage children to sit with their parents for the first half. This allows them to see what happens in “big church” and prepare them for attending the whole service one day.

 

 

 


But just before Pastor Bob speaks, children ages 3-8 years old are invited to participate in our children’s church called, “Noah’s Park.” A great time of learning, singing, and making crafts awaits them. We’ve discovered that through this time designed specially for them, they are more prepared to learn about Jesus. Not to mention mom and dad can relax and hear from God’s word.
