Office, title and position are useless without function. Oswald Sanders writes, "It should be observed that it is not the office of overseer but the function of overseeing that Paul asserts is honorable and noble."(Spiritual Leadership, pg 18) He continues to emphasize that overseeing is honorable and noble because it yields not only present day benefits, but it impacts eternity.
At Odessa Bible, the Lord has established a committed Servant / Leader Elder Board that is supported by qualified and gifted servant leaders who are carrying out the work of the ministry. We thank God for the impact they are having in our church and know that their work will impact eternity.
