Camp

Every year is seems to come quicker and quicker…CAMP! For camp we attend SEEK WEEK in Iowa Park Texas at Camp Chaparral. This is our 4th year going to Seek Week and our students LOVE it, however, this year we will be going to Brownwood Texas - Heart of Texas Camp Center. Between the team-rec time, worship, the teaching, and free time they stay busy. Check out the video to see what you can expect!

This camp offers just enough activities (ropes course, basketball, swimming, canoes, paintball etc…) to keep teens active without loosing their focus of the week, GOD. The worship band and camp pastor (Kyle Bird) provide amazing opportunities for the teens to be challenged and grow in Christ. This is overall our teens' favorite time of year; don't let your teen miss out on this experience. And don't even worry about the food, its amazing!

If your teen would like to go with us this year please grab a sign-up form at the church and get it turned in because spots are limited. Your $50.oo non-refundable deposit is due March 28th, so get it in quick before the spots fill up. You're additional $190.oo (equals 240.oo) will be due June 27 along with all of your paper work. Also, after reserving your spot with your deposit, you have until June 20 to cancel without owing $160.oo. So clear your calendars and get them signed-up because your teen will not want to miss this!

"Challenge"

If you've ever been around while a child is learning to walk or talk you know that every child seems to have their own learning pace. Well guess what…teens are no different. When it comes to their spiritual growth every believer has their own pace. Our Sunday night "Challenge Group" is designed for those teens ready to go a little deeper. The studies we will go through will require dedication. You will be challenged to learn scripture, to take a deep look inside your own life to see where you might need to change, and simply grow in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. These studies are chosen with purpose to help teens accomplish their desired growth.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

"The Gathering"
Wednesday Night 6:30-8:15pm
Meeting in Fellowship Hal

"The Gathering" is the large group meeting for Rooted Youth Ministry. This time is not designed to entertain and simply keep teenagers busy for a couple hours. No. This is a time designed to experience worship. Students are provided three outlets for experiencing worship during this time. (1) They will have an opportunity to worship God through a time a singing. (2) They will be challenged and given another opportunity for worship through the teaching of scripture. Each week Youth Pastor Luc Ashley will bring a message that is not new but still relevant in today's culture. These messages are designed to meet the youth where they're at and help them understand how to live a purposed life. (3) Teens will have the opportunity to worship God through games and hang time with their friends. That's right. I said it. We are going to worship God by having fun! We believe that all three of these outlets serve a great biblical purpose in the lives of teens. The worship of God is designed to be a lifestyle and we want to meet and help them in all areas of their lives.

Everyone needs a support group. At times a teen's best support comes from their peers. Our time together on Sunday Mornings is designed for our teens to spend quality time studying the scriptures in a small and safe environment. We search for answers, we share prayers, and most of all we grow together. Join us as we continue to build these small support groups and journey through life together.
